ABOUT US

We have transformed a traditional straw in a biodegradable alternative, because it is made of natural ingredients such as glass, water and glucose. When manufacturated with these ingredients, besides being biodegradable, it makes them totally edible and pleacent to the consumers palate.

HISTORY

January 23, 2019, was the day that Sweet Glass was born, from a brainstorming, in which, this idea stood out thanks to the demand that these utensils have so far and the necesity of change the traditional straws, for one compatible with the environment.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Harry Stevens who is considered the creator of this product, realized that when fans drunk their sodas, they stopped watching the game. The businessman was aware that the ancient Egyptians drank using hollow rods and he thought that something like this would be useful during games. For this reason he hired a paper company to produce  thick paper tubes which was included in the soda, which increase sales and  provided a new way to enjoy drinks.

VISION

We as a company see us in a period of 3 years with a profitable and well-founded business to subsequently grow internationally. Venturing into the market with other innovative products that complement this first idea.

MISION

Help people who are affected  when drinking their drinks without this device, since the straws have become indispensable in our daily life, both in small presentations, as in industrial quantities changing the traditional straw for a biodegradable and compatible with our planet .

JUSTIFICATION

Sweet Glass was born with the purpose of innovating the market of the straws and with the main objective of helping people who are affected by the lack of these utensils and simultaneously reduce the pollution caused by these. Following the global trend that tries to eliminate plastic from the planet.
